In the past, Paula Wilkie has raised funds for Venture Trust through an assortment of physically demanding challenges.

In 2020 Paula was due to take part in Ratrace’s ‘Dirty Weekend’ in May.  When the event was cancelled due to COVID-19, Paula was undeterred – deciding to go ahead and run the distance of her original race, keeping to lockdown restrictions.

To do this, Paula spent the first hour of her 13-mile run time pounding the streets of Glasgow, finishing her distance by circulating the courtyard at her flat – her Strava picture at the end resembling a messy ball of wool!

Afterwards, Paula told us this about why she took on the challenge,

“I champion Venture Trust because they see that getting into the outdoors, having a daily goal having perhaps for the first time, the peace and quiet and SPACE just to think is important… It is not always easy for some to take the first step or have that as an option they could manage themselves. More power to you guys.”
