What could VT do for me?
Answer: Help you to help yourself!
I have edited the comment below; however, if you want to read the full version you can find it under Archives - June 2007.
I … left the course after the 3rd day and 1st day of trekking/camping out. This was one decision i came to regret. Although at the time i truly believed id had enough. I remember being exausted mentally at the end of that day and all i wanted to do was sleep. The final straw for me was the continual discussion about what we had done that day. . … i ended up going home the next day.
I realise now how selfish this was … Since i came back from that camp … i have stopped all drugs, dont drink and go to the gym 5 days a week, you could say im a bit of a boring bugger these days =) but im living clean and healthy … Im now working for a large oil company in Aberdeen doing what i struggled to do for so long myself….finding others jobs i work as a recruitment consultant.
The futures looking bright and im very happy. I stumbled upon this page as some people in my office were discussing how beatufull the west coast was and this triggered my memory of my experience there.
If i had any advice to anyone about to go on this course - Please, please dont ever give up finish the course or you WILL regret it!
If you have a story to tell about your experience at Venture Trust, or you know someone who has benefited from time at Venture Trust, post a comment. It won’t take long and it could inspire someone else to do the same!
Cheers
