on november 26th we took part in the venture trust personal devolpment course and this is just a short story about the carry ons we had together.we met up in inverness and met up with another 11 boys and 1 lassie,then we headed for applecross wen we got there we didny realy no wit was goin on  1 boy left from portree  due 2 having 2 do cleaning duties which we can understand!the second day wee gemma fae fife left because she wis the only lassie!!the first phase of the course was meeting the boys, brian fae paisley j fae pilton adam fae tullibody gary fae nairn  david fae clackmannan kevin fae stranrarear and us franko fae dalneigh and martin fae coatbridge!!!

we started the course with a trip 2 a tipi site 5 miles away which we had 2 walk 2 through the hills  and then set up a tipi,once there we had a lot of group activities which involved getting 2 no each other  and the other boys and staff!! we stayed there for 2 nights then returned 2 the centre for a heavy munch!!which we deserved haha!!after eating budgie food!!lol!!

second phase of the course was the trip 2 uags bothy which was 2 b honest was a challenge because of the weather snow,ice,rain n wind and a rare bit of sun lol!! big gary woke up in the morning and had a river running through his tent because he picked a heavy dodgy place 2 pitch it lol!!while at uags we done a small abseil which was 30ft then we done a 80 footer get on wat a buzz that was cliffhanger style lol!!!during the trip 2 uags we had 2 do solos that involved sleeping in your tent far away from the other boys,after the 3 nights we set off fur the centre which was a bout another 5 miles walking and about 10 mile in the van!!once back at the centre we started preparing for the big daddy expedition which was 6 days and 5 nights out in the wilderness,just 2 let u no this was the middle of december which was absouletly freezing man!!which we thought wis madness!!

once back at the centre we started preparing for the big expedition which included team building confidence building problem solving and sorting out all our kit which there was hunners off! during tough times me and franko picked up our spirits by getting the banter with the other boys lol!!

during the big expedition we treked from west glen affric  to east glen affric we went through the five sisters which is five munros beside each other (mountains more or less) the weather wasnt the best but we stuck it out we slept i n a bothy for 1 night then the rest was in 1 man tents which were like a freezer in the mornings lol!! the lat 2 days we spent canoeig which was sum laugh,a few of us me(martin) gary,adam and j and the worker craig took a canoe out at night it sounds mad but it was spectacular 2 see the loch so calm and the stars were so bright! the next morning was our last of the 6 days the staff gave us a heavy suprise by making us a fry up on the beach lol in the middle of december haha madness!

after that it was just mainly groupwork and we got a game a footy on the beach good laugh anol then we got 2 do a pier jump which was brilliant,on our last nyt the staff dressed up as waiters and served us up a belter of a christmas dinner and we had a wee sing song lol sounds daft but it was 1 of the best laughs and expierences we had as a group wel all remember it for most of our lifes!

the venture trust has completley changed we think about life we think we will all go on and have better lifes thanks 2 the help and support  the staff gave us so if u feel u need 2 work on something or your life isnt going 2 plan we would advise u 2 do this course its life changing!if u want it 2 be it is what u make of it!
