VT course keeps participant out of prison
Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007Here’s some good news:
The Peeblesshire News ran an article recently about Steven Ferry, a participant in our Chance for Change (Scotland) Programme. Steven was in court facing a prison term, but the progress he made during three weeks on the VT course, and the glowing report he received, caused the Sheriff to defer sentencing for good behaviour and ask for a supplementary report.
Steven’s solicitor said, “There has been a complete sea-change in this young man’s attitude and outlook. He is highly motivated to get out and find work.”
There are other VT participants with stories like Steven’s. If you have one, or know about one, contact us and we’ll celebrate it right here on the blog.
