Our digital Active Living Hub will offer people personal development to maintain positive relationships, activities to build routine and stay healthy. This includes advice for keeping active and healthy eating.
During these challenging times it is important to remember everyone will face emotions such as feeling bored, frustrated or lonely. As well as low, worried or anxious, or concerned about finances, health or those close to you. But at Venture Trust we are working with smart technology to reach those who need help most in their own homes. Our new support service is online, with all Venture Trust support staff providing tailored support by phone or digital platforms.
Through the Hub people will have access to:
- One-to-one conversations focused on active living during the challenging coronavirus times
- Virtual group sessions
- Tips and resources on the Venture Trust website and social media channels
We can help with:
- Planning practical things
How people can get any household supplies they need.
Continue accessing treatment and support for any existing physical or mental health issues where possible.
Staying connected with others
How people can stay in touch with friends, family and support workers while they are all staying at home – by phone, messaging, video calls or social media.
Keeping a healthy body
Eat healthy, well-balanced meals, drink enough water and exercise regularly.**
**People can leave their house, alone or with members of your household, for 1 form of exercise a day – like a walk, run or bike ride. But make sure to keep a safe 2-metre distance from others.
Thinking about new daily routines
Life has changed for a while and people are likely to see some disruption to their normal routine. Our staff can help write daily or weekly plans.
